KITCHEN UPDO

This family contacted us through our website and let us know they had been planning to update their kitchen for a long time and they were ready to proceed. When I met with them they had received pricing for all new cabinets from a discount cabinet seller. Through our consultation we learned as much as we could about how they use their space and what kind of look they were going for. Our recommendation was to utilize what they had, but make new high end doors and create end panels to match. We also made faux cabinets above the existing cabinets for a more dramatic and current look. We also added many drawers to make storage easier. we also removed a desk and added a new bar top with drawers and stools.

These are the only pictures we have of the before. You can see these are simple builder grade cabinets. I am not sure the owners were seeing our vision yet.

In this photo you see the other side of the galley style kitchen. You can also see one of the end panels leaning against the cabinets. You can also see where we added drawers into the standard cabinets. Additionally we replaced all the original drawer slides with full extension, soft close drawer slides.

New kitchen! Our client couldn’t believe the end results. You can see one of the end panels installed on the upper by the window. End panels add a very dramatic and upscale look to any cabinet. You can also see the faux cabinets above the uppers they add to the dimension and scale of the kitchen.

View from behind the peninsula. The fluting on the front of the peninsula was done in our wood shop and was customized top match the fluting on the clients existing fireplace.

In this photo you can see the front of the peninsula and the end panels on the face of it.
