A fireplace mantle eluded this client for a long time. She wanted a faux beam mantle look, but her fireplace had a depression, and she wanted the faux beam to follow the contours of the brick. We were able to achieve the look she was going for with a custom-built mantle that we finalized by cutting it at her home.

I stained this piece to match the clock above it. After stain I added 3 layers of polyurethane while wet sanding between each layer.

Additionally, our creations have no visible fasteners. We use hidden loose tenon joinery in all our faux beam mantles. See another example here.
