Kitchen Remodeling in Spring, TX
Kitchen remodeling in Spring is mostly one job: a solid slab house with the original builder cabinets. The house is fine. The kitchen feels dated. We are a custom cabinet shop in Klein. We measure, design, build the boxes, and — if you want the room done right — run the remodel around them. Same crew from measure to install.

Kitchen remodeling for Spring and Klein homes
We work across Spring and Klein — Gleannloch Farms, Champions, the Rayford / 2920 corridor — plus The Woodlands, Tomball, and Magnolia. That is a service area, not a list of fake case studies. If we did your neighbor’s kitchen, we will say so when we walk yours. We will not invent a testimonial to fill a heading.
This page is the full kitchen remodel. Cabinet-only work lives on custom kitchen cabinets in Spring TX. The 2026 numbers live on the Spring kitchen remodel cost guide. Kitchen plus other rooms: home remodeling in Spring TX.
A Spring kitchen is a slab kitchen with builder cabinets
The slab. Most of these houses sit on concrete. Move the sink, add island water, or shift the range and you are not “sliding the dishwasher.” You are cutting the slab. Keep the wet wall where it is and you still get fully custom cabinets. We will say which of those you are actually buying before anyone swings a hammer.
The builder boxes. Original cabinets in a lot of these houses are a size chart plus filler strips. Uppers stop short of the ceiling, the pantry is a door in a corner, and the island is a plain box. Replacing them with cabinets built to the opening is usually where the room actually changes.
Cabinet-first remodeling (how we actually work)
The boxes are the job. Stock cabinets are a size chart plus filler. Semi-custom is a catalog with more doors. Custom is built to the opening, the ceiling, and how you cook. That is what we build. The remodel around them — demo, counters, appliances, floor, paint — is so the room does not look pieced together.

Custom cabinets with mixed storage: closed doors, glass fronts, open shelves, large drawers. That mix is a cost driver. It is also why the kitchen does not look like every other spec house on the street.
Two ways to hire us, same cabinets:
- Cabinets only. We design, build, and install. You or your designer handle paint and the rest.
- Full service. Design through paint and install so you are not juggling trades.
From the first visit to install
- Walk the kitchen. How you cook, where the plumbing is, what you will not move.
- 3D first. You see the plan before anything is built.
- Estimate in writing. Before anything gets torn out.
- Build the cabinets. To the opening, not a box-store grid.
- Install and finish. Counters template after the boxes are set. One crew, not a cabinet drop plus three other contractors.

Two real Spring kitchens
Memorial Northwest kitchen (Spring/Klein)
Some cabinets were replaced and others refaced with new doors and drawer fronts. The uppers were made deeper and extended to the ceiling. We designed and built a custom island with a gas cooktop, downdraft, and built-in drawer microwave. A licensed plumber extended the gas line into the slab for the island.

Before and after photos are from different angles.

★★★★★
“Shelton Custom Interiors helped us completely transform our kitchen into a space we truly love. … Some cabinet elements were completely replaced, some only received new faces or doors/drawers, but the entire kitchen looks 100% new. Their expertise in design led us to make several changes (like deeper upper cabinets, and extending our upper cabinets to the ceiling) that made our kitchen both more beautiful and more functional. They designed and built a custom island with a gas cooktop, downdraft and built-in drawer microwave.”

Huntwick Forest, Spring: custom cabinets and turned-leg island
A Huntwick Forest, Spring kitchen: custom kitchen cabinets throughout, white with arched glass uppers, a custom island with turned legs, and a custom range hood.

★★★★★
“I highly recommend Mark for any custom cabinet project. He is reliable, easy to work with, has straightforward and fair pricing and is super talented. He built custom cabinets for our kitchen, including a gorgeous custom island. The quality of his work is perfection.”
— Kelby Luther, Google review (2021)
What we will not do on a Spring kitchen
- Pretend a neighborhood name is a case study we do not have.
- Move plumbing through the slab because a mood board said so, without pricing the concrete.
- Sell stock boxes as custom.
- Run a $250k show kitchen we are not. If that is the bid you already have, you are shopping someone else.

Kitchen remodeling in Spring — FAQ
How much does a kitchen remodel cost in Spring, TX?
For 2026 planning, a cosmetic refresh is often $18,000–$30,000, a mid-range full remodel $35,000–$65,000 (most complete jobs closer to $45,000–$75,000), and high-end custom $70,000–$120,000+. Those are planning ranges, not a bid. Full tables and hidden costs are on the 2026 Spring kitchen remodel cost guide.
What do custom cabinets cost per linear foot?
Paint-grade, unpainted: $250 per linear foot on walls, $500 per linear foot on a deep island, $150 a drawer, and end panels from $175. Paint for a typical kitchen of doors and boxes usually runs $8,000–$12,000. Details are on the 2026 custom cabinet cost page.
Can I keep my sink where it is and still get custom cabinets?
Yes. Most Spring and Klein kitchens sit on a slab. Keep the wet wall where it is and you still get fully custom cabinets. Move the sink or add island water and you are cutting concrete, and the number goes up for that, not for prettier tile.
Do you do cabinets only, or the whole kitchen?
Both. Cabinets-only means we design, build, and install. Full service means we run the remodel around the boxes — demo, counters, floor, paint — so you are not juggling trades. Cabinet-only work starts at custom kitchen cabinets in Spring TX.
How long does a kitchen remodel take?
Cosmetic work can be days to a couple of weeks. A mid full remodel is more often a couple of months once cabinets are built. Layout changes, slab cuts, and special-order appliances add time. You get a timeline with the estimate.
Which areas do you cover for kitchen remodeling?
Spring and Klein are home base, plus The Woodlands, Tomball, and Magnolia. If you can drive to us in about 30 minutes, we can likely do the job.
How do I get a real number for my kitchen?
Call or text (832) 534-2119. We walk the room and give you a written estimate. We do not quote serious work off a text message.
